Abstract

Lateral ankle sprain is the most prevalent injury in physically active population. Dynamic postural control (DPC) deficit is one of its consequences, which is why its evaluation is required in the context of rehabilitation and return to sport of the population. One of the recommended tools to evaluate it is the Y Balance Test (YBT). Although various recommendations for its implementation have been reported, in this step-by-step we will describe the evaluation of the DPC of the lower limb using the YBT, along with suggestions for its implementation in a standardized manner.
