Physical assessments in physiotherapy clinical practice
Abstract
In the final phase of rehabilitation after a sports injury, physical therapists play a significant role in helping players to regain strength, aerobic endurance, speed, agility, jumps, among others, during the return-to-play process. Therefore, and for the purposes of establishing functional discharge criteria, physical therapists should base their decisions on objective data. In this study, we aim to describe performance assessment tools, their goals and procedures, and the proper data evaluation.
