Prevalencia de lesiones en un grupo de deportistas de combate de Argentina

Resumen

Objetivo: Determinar la prevalencia de las lesiones en las disciplinas de combate y sus características, tanto en el entrenamiento como en la competición, en una muestra de deportistas de combate de Argentina.

Materiales y método: Este trabajo fue realizado mediante una encuesta dirigida a sujetos mayores de 18 años que realizaron dentro del periodo 2019-2020 alguna disciplina de combate. Las diferentes disciplinas fueron categorizadas de acuerdo con sus principios táctico-estratégicos en agarre (DA), golpe (DG), e híbridas (DH).

Resultados: De 88 sujetos encuestados, sólo 72 quedaron seleccionados. De éstos, 50 reportaron al menos una lesión, resultando una prevalencia de lesión del 69,4%. De las 82 lesiones reportadas, 47 (57,3%) ocurrieron durante la práctica de DA, 30 (36,6%) en DG, y 5 (6,1%) en DH. La región más afectada fue la rodilla para las DA y DH (17,2% y 60%, respectivamente), y para las DG, la rodilla, el hombro y la mano (13,3% cada una). El tejido más afectado para todas las disciplinas fueron ligamentos/cápsula articular (DA 27,6%, DG 26,7%, y DH 40%). La patología más común para las DA y DH fueron los esguinces (23,4% y 40%, respectivamente) y para las DG los desgarros/rupturas (16,7%).

Conclusión: Durante el periodo de un año se observó una prevalencia de lesión del 69,4%. En cuanto a las características de las lesiones, la rodilla fue la región más afectada y los esquinces las patologías más comunes.
