Outpatients Pulmonary Rehabilitation in patients with post COVD-19 Sequelaes
Case series
Abstract
Objective: to describe the evolution of patients with sequelae of COVID-19 who carry out a pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) program on an outpatient basis.
Materials and Method: Observational, descriptive and retrospective study. Data from 17 patients who completed 4 weeks of PR were analyzed.
Results: The median number of repetitions in Sit To Stand 1 was 14 (IQR 11 - 16.5) at the beginning of rehabilitation and 26 (IQR 20.5 - 29) at 4 weeks, in Time Up Go, the median time to complete the test was 8.8 (IQR 6.9 - 10) seconds at the start of rehabilitation and 5.3 (IQR 4.3 - 7.4) seconds at 4 weeks and the median The difficulty score in the main daily activities was 5 (IQR 3.1 - 6.2) points at the beginning of rehabilitation and 8.8 (IQR 8 - 9.4) points at 4 weeks. The greatest difference in the RAND-36 was observed in the domains related to limitations due to physical and emotional problems.
Conclusion: The role of PR could be important to reduce the late consequences of this disease.
